This work is dedicated to the magnolia, a flower often associated with dignity, purity, perseverance, and delicacy. Its large, clear, almost ceremonial bloom suggests a beauty that needs no assertion, and here becomes a symbol not of naive peace, but of a consciously chosen one.
 
Forgiving does not mean erasing the wound, but stopping its spread. It means draining energy from resentment and restoring it to life. Forgiveness, when authentic, is not weakness: it is a lofty form of self-mastery, and perhaps one of the most difficult forms of love.
