Sunset

The curtains of vigilance close, and the day has set; twilight proceeds to soften the sky, and the night that will follow is a comforting certainty.

“Sunset” chronologically follows “Day,” to which it speaks in a harmonious agreement: if during the day the sky is wide open and bright, here it closes gently and reveals a young figure fully unveiled, but who now turns her back to us. If the day is known, reassuring, and welcoming, the twilight that retreats quietly is peaceful and wise.
