Suspicion

What happens when the sky is clear, but your soul is clouded by torment? This is the theme of “Suspicion,” which for the first time in Salvi’s production represents the setting of a stage that opens the curtain on a metaphysical, unreal, and two-dimensional landscape.

The young woman, almost with her back turned, looks suspiciously at the observer; her calm exterior world, represented by the background, is compared to her turbulent inner soul, which she holds and represses like in a bubble or a crystal sphere.

Ubi est veritas? It is what cautiously every person tries to answer when beginning a journey of introspection. We move in the world as if within a stage where only what we feel is real and true, even when facts prove otherwise.
